A few practical things

Before we jump in.

What kind of photo should I send?
A clear, reasonably well-lit photo where I can see their face and important features. Phone photos are welcome. The background and outfit can be reimagined, so don't stage a shoot just for this.
Will they still look like themselves?
Recognisability is always the goal. These are creative editorial artworks rather than photographic replicas: clothing, setting, pose, hair, makeup and props may change, while the real person remains the anchor.
What if I have no idea - or a very specific one?
Both are welcome. Share colours, themes, must-haves and hard no's on the intake form, or choose designer's choice. Their interests and little quirks give me plenty to work with.
What can I celebrate with a cover?
Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, new babies, retirements, graduations, teachers, careers, businesses, sport and tiny obsessions. Or no occasion whatsoever. Frankly, being fabulous is enough.
What's included if I want changes?
One revision round for reasonable refinements to the completed concept. A substantially new concept or direction may require an additional fee.
Photo permissions and the important stuff

By submitting a photo, you confirm you own it or have permission to use it for this commissioned artwork. For a professional photographer's image, check that permission covers this creative transformation.

For a child, you must have the appropriate parental, guardian or legal authority to supply and approve use of the image.
